Ophelia possesses a robust background in commercial and corporate finance.
Prior to joining JC Legal, she gained valuable legal and regulatory experience at international law firms, a local stock exchange, a regional financial institution, and an international auction house. Her areas of expertise encompass initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, as well as sanctions and anti-bribery.
Ophelia holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom and completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) in 2024. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Notable Experience
- Assisted with the initial public offering (IPO) of a property developer on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
- Supported the IPO process of two (2) hospitality groups listed on the GEM Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
- Conducted due diligence and provided advice on cross-border mergers and acquisitions involving pharmaceutical manufacturers, property developers, and trading companies with a total sum of over HKD100 million.
- Provided guidance on ongoing listing requirements and regulatory compliance obligations for listed companies.
- Advised on corporate governance, sanctions and anti-bribery policies, and implemented processes to streamline and upgrade internal procedures.
- Offered general legal advice on commercial contracts and disputes.
