Hemans Leung Shares Insights from Young Lawyers Exchange Programme – Malaysia

We are delighted to share that our associate, Hemans Leung, had the honour of representing the Law Society of Hong Kong as one of its delegates in the inaugural Young Lawyers Exchange Programme. Co-organised by the Young Solicitors’ Group of the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Malaysian Bar’s National Young Lawyers & Pupils Committee, this event took place from 22 to 23 August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the programme, Hemans had the opportunity to visit key institutions, including the Palace of Justice, Asian International Arbitration Centre, and one of the largest law firms in Malaysia, Skrine. These visits offered invaluable insights into the Malaysian legal system and practice and highlighted the collaborative efforts of the global legal community in promoting best practices and fostering cross-border connections.

The Malaysia-Hong Kong Young Lawyers Symposium featured a series of engaging discussions on diverse topics, including comparative analysis of legal systems, sports law and arbitration, future trends in the legal profession, well-being and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). This platform facilitated meaningful exchange with fellow young solicitors from Malaysia, fostering collaboration and strengthening ties within the international legal community.
